Special Events

Special Olympics Tennessee offers a variety of special events throughout the year where individuals and companies have the chance to contribute to our organization in the most non-traditional ways.

Whether it’s teeing off at the Nashville Golf Classic in June or rappelling down a 20 story building this fall there's something for everyone!

We invite you to participate in our 2011 events!

The Polar Plunge is an excellent opportunity for individuals, organizations and businesses to support Special Olympics Tennessee.  Participants raise financial support from friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers as they “plunge” into icy waters in Tennessee. Prizes, costumes, food & fun are all a part of this fabulous event. Plunges are scheduled throughout the state in the months of January and February.  Click here for more information.

Recognized as the longest running charity golf event in Tennessee, the Nashville Golf Classic continues to grow, . This year the Nashville Golf Classic, an all-volunteer group, will celebrate 36 years of support for Special Olympics Tennessee. The tournament scheduled for June 15th, 2011 will be held at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, TN. The Nashville Golf Classic is unique, fun and unforgettable.
