Special Olympics Tennessee is proud to announce the team that will represent the State as Team Tennessee at the 2010 Special Olympics USA National Games July 18-23, 2010. The team includes 84 athletes and 24 coaches. Tennessee athletes will be competing in 10 sports at the Games — Powerlifting, Soccer, Tennis, Aquatics (swimming), Athletics (Track and Field), Basketball, Bowling, Golf, Flag Football, and Bocce. Over 3000 athletes from all 50 states will be competing at the games in 13 sports.
The cost of sending one athlete to the games is $580 making the total cost for Team Tennessee (86 athletes) $48,720. These costs include uniforms, training, transportation, housing, equipment and meals.
