Tuesday night was the final Music City Corporate Challenge event and it was a great one to end with. The event was held at Fat Bottom Brewery in Nashville. All of the teams who’d participated in the Music City Corporate Challenge events over the course of the summer were in attendance. Those companies were Lee Company, AllianceBernstein, UBS, Jackson, First Horizon, Asurion, LifePoint, Tennessee Titans, TrustCore, Franklin Madison, Aegis Sciences Corporation, Nashville Predators, Currax Pharmaceuticals, and Ncontracts. At the event, the fourteen teams were split into two divisions, and the teams competed in five rounds of trivia. In each division, the teams competed for a bronze, silver and gold medal.

During the event, each team participated in five rounds of trivia. In each round, ten questions were asked and at the end of each round, their scores were tallied up. At the end of the event, the team’s rounds were added up to determine their total score, which then determined the winners for the entire night. At the end of the night, medals were given out both to the companies who’d come in third, second and first place at trivia night, but also to the companies that had the most total points of all the Music City Corporate Challenge events combined!

For trivia night, the winners were as follows: In division two, Franklin Madison came in third place winning the bronze, TrustCore came in second place winning the silver, and the Nashville Predators came in first place winning the gold. In division one, UBS came in third place winning the bronze, AllianceBernstein came in second place winning the silver and Jackson came in first place winning the gold.

For the entire corporate challenge, the winners were as follows: In Division two, The Tennessee Titans came in third place winning the bronze, The Nashville Predators came in second place winning the silver, and TrustCore came in first place winning the gold. In division one, Jackson came in third place winning the bronze, AllianceBernstein came in second place winning the silver, and UBS came in first place winning the gold.

“It was my first time volunteering and it was a great experience," said Malizah, a volunteer for the evening. "I got to work with the people from the Special Olympics and their fantastic interns. It was also fun watching the trivia and overall, it’s something I would volunteer for again.”

“I came to all of the events and it was a blast," said Niya of UBS. "But personally my favorite night was bowling.”

Special Olympics Tennessee would like to thank Jackson for sponsoring the event and Fat Bottom Brewery for hosting. In addition, thank you to all the companies who have participated in the Music City Corporate Challenge over the summer and to all volunteers who’ve helped out at the events.

Signing off, your always humble recap writer, Justin Harnick.
