A beautiful, sunny evening kicked off the first game of Special Olympics Tennessee's Music City Corporate Challenge presented by LifePoint Health at Lipscomb University for a round of Dodgeball.
SOTN was joined by Alliance Bernstein, Asurion, First Horizon Bank, Jackson National, Lee Company and UBS for day one of Dodgeball. The teams that kicked off the evening were Jackson vs. UBS on Court 1 and First Horizon vs. Alliance Bernstein on Court 2.
UBS and First Horizon Bank took their respective victories with UBS playing against Asurion and First Horizon Bank playing Lee Company in the second round.
Jackson National went on to play Lee Company after they suffered their loss against First Horizon Bank while Alliance Bernstein went on to play Asurion after they suffered a defeat against UBS.
First Horizon Bank went head to head with UBS on Court 1 while Court 2 saw Asurion vs. Jackson National in the first elimination round of the night.
Asurion was ultimately eliminated by Jackson in which Jackson moved on to play First Horizon Bank which suffered its first loss against UBS.
In an epic showdown and an incredible catch by a First Horizon Bank player, Jackson National came out on top eliminating First Horizon Bank and moving on to play UBS as they moved into the semifinals of the night.
UBS was looking to give Jackson National their second loss of the night and take home the gold, but Jackson defeated them in the semifinals. As the competition moved on to the final round, UBS came out on top and took home the gold.
The standings at the end of the night were First Horizon Bank with Bronze, Jackson National with Silver, and UBS with Gold.
Each company huddled up for a group picture with their metals as they praised other teams for their hard work and sportsmanship.
Day Two of Dodgeball is Thursday, July 14th at 6 pm in Allen Arena at Lipscomb University.
