The final night of 3v3 Basketball at the Music City Corporate Challenge presented by Lifepoint Health was rousing success. The final divisions competing included Jackson National, Lee Company, First Horizon, Alliance Bernstein and Aegis Sciences.
Divisions were split into men’s and Co-Ed where Alliance Bernstein faced off against UBS in Co-Ed in a best of three series. Alliance Bernstein and UBS games were intense and were decided in sudden death or at the final buzzer. Alliance Bernstein took the first game over UBS and then in game 2, UBS ramped back into the series. Setting up for a thrilling sudden-death win for Alliance Bernstein in game three. In the Co-Ed division Alliance Bernstein took home gold and UBS took home silver.
As for the men’s division of the tournament, multiple games went into sudden death over time. The competition for bronze between Jackson National and UBS went into sudden death as UBS came out with the gold on a game-winning free throw. Lee Company defeated First Horizon to claim gold as First Horizon took silver.
“It was a cool thing to forge a team somewhere else other than the bank,” said Tyler Clinton of First Horizon Bank. Clinton also enjoyed getting to play with members of his company he had not even met before and was proud of how far his team advanced.
The fun is not over yet as next week’s competition is sand volleyball set for Monday and Thursday at Sand Bar.
