Caroline Core, and fellow staff members of ARCO/Murray, recently came to volunteer at a Special Olympics Nashville bowling.

This was the group's first time volunteering.

"Two of my associates mentioned that they were interested in getting involved more around the community and brought up Special Olympics Tennessee," said Core. "I did my research and looked at the Facebook page and honestly just looked like everyone was having so much fun, and I knew I had to get involved. And it's been so great so far!”

Even though it was her first time, Core was easily noticed because she was approachable and sociable with all the athletes, helping where she was needed and conversing with them constantly.

“I knew it would be a fun event," said Core. "I’m having a blast. This is the most exciting bowling game I've ever been to.”

Core noted how exciting the event was and how everyone there was incredibly supportive of each other.

“It's so energetic, everyone is here because they want to be here," said Core. "Everyone here is passionate about the work getting done, and you can feel that.”

“Special Olympics TN is a lot more personable, a lot of one-on-one, more personalities and stories," said Core on her biggest takeaway from her first experience volunteering with Special Olympics Tennessee.

Thank you to Caroline and ARCO/Murray for volunteering at our Nashville bowling event.
