In partnership with Special Olympics Tennessee, Nashville Soccer Club held a signing day ceremony for the 2024 Nashville SC Unified Team before their first team practice at GEODIS Park on March 26, 2024. You could see both returning and new athletes' excitement as they anticipated the ceremony to start.

Bryan Fisher, who is returning for his third season, plays forward. Fisher noted that his favorite part about playing forward was that it was easier to kick the ball into the goal. His favorite moment during signing day was being on the stage signing his contract surrounded by some of the Nashville SC first-team players.

As the players signed their contracts, they were surrounded by Nashville SC General Manager Mike Jacobs and Nashville SC players Jacob Shaffelburg, Dan Lovitz, Joe Willis and Taylor Washington. After the ceremony, the players got to run out onto the field and practice with the Nashville SC players.

“Joe Willis is my favorite,” said Fisher about meeting the star goalkeeper.

Bre Fisher is a returning Unified Partner. She played on the team for the second half of last season and is also Bryan’s sister. She said that signing her contract on the stage and holding her jersey up in front of everyone was her favorite moment of the day.

“It was fun," said Fisher on the entire experience. "Getting to be out there on the field is crazy; the environment is insane."

Both athletes had a blast getting to experience signing day and practicing with first-team players. It is an experience they will not forget.
