Q1: What is your sport and how long have you competed in it?
I have competed for over 30 years in Special Olympics where I specialize in speed skating.
Q2: What are some of the highlights of your Special Olympics Career?
I have been one of the most successful athletes in Tennessee. I placed first in the 200m event and second in the 100m event at State Winter Games this year. I also qualified to attend the last Special Olympics World Games. While I wasn't able to attend, it was still a major accomplishment.
Q3: What is your experience like off the field with the Special Olympics?
I have participated in Special Olympics for over 30 years and have had a significant impact. I think my positivity and leadership have been felt by many. I have mentored many younger athletes on and off the ice which turned into me being chosen to be a part of the Special Olympics Leadership Council.
