Frady is a Leader Both On and Off the Ice

Get to know Jeremy Frady, an athlete from Area 22 - Fort Loudon. Recently, he took part in the 2023 State Winter Games where he not only competed in speed skating, but also volunteered to help his fellow athletes on the ice.

Get to know a little bit more about Jeremy Frady in this Q&A.

Q1: What is your sport and how long have you competed in it?

I have competed for over 30 years in Special Olympics where I specialize in speed skating.

Q2: What are some of the highlights of your Special Olympics Career?

I have been one of the most successful athletes in Tennessee. I placed first in the 200m event and second in the 100m event at State Winter Games this year. I also qualified to attend the last Special Olympics World Games. While I wasn't able to attend, it was still a major accomplishment.

Q3: What is your experience like off the field with the Special Olympics?

I have participated in Special Olympics for over 30 years and have had a significant impact. I think my positivity and leadership have been felt by many. I have mentored many younger athletes on and off the ice which turned into me being chosen to be a part of the Special Olympics Leadership Council.
