SOTN Returning to Activities

Return to Activities Plan - Phase 1
Matt mask titans

Special Olympics Tennessee will be moving from Phase 0 to Phase 1 as part of their Return to Activities Plan. Phase 1 allows for in person activities with up to 10 people with masks, no contact and social distancing still in place.

The RTA committee, consisting of SOTN staff, area directors, parents and medical professionals formulated a detailed plan of parameters that must be met to move to each phase. With the recent decrease in covid-19 cases in Tennessee the numbers now support a limited return to activity in Tennessee.

We are excited to get back to in-person programming and continue our virtual sports offerings for those not comfortable with participating in in-person trainings/competitions. Safety of our athletes, coaches and Special Olympics families is our top priority as we return to activity. All trainings in Phase 1 and Phase 2 will include COVID-19 screenings, required masks and other safety procedures required for local activities and events.
