Pulling for a Purpose Plane Pull, presented by Deltcorp Industries, brings teams of law enforcement, community members, Unified Clubs, and Special Olympics supporters to compete and see who can pull a plane the fastest. Not up for the challenge? Lace up your running shoes and take part in the Run the Runway 5K! Whether you're pulling or running, it's all for a great cause!
Pulling for a Purpose Plane Pull
Plane Pull teams can include a maximum of 10 participants, or competitors can take on the challenge individually. The team and individual with the fastest pull time wins! Event begins at 11 AM.
Team Entries:
Team Entries:
- $10 registration fee.
- Each team must raise a minimum of $500 to pull, and the $10 registration fee will be applied to each team member's fundraising minimum.
- Pull distance will be 50 feet, plane will weigh approximately 40,000 pounds.
- $10 registration fee.
- Each single pull participant must raise a minimum of $50 to pull, and the $10 registration fee will be applied to the fundraising minimum.
- Pull distance will be 25 feet, plane will weigh approximately 4,000 pounds.

Run the Runway 5K
Lace up for the 3rd Annual Run the Runway 5K, presented by Century Granite, a fun, non-certified run to launch our Plane Pull benefiting Special Olympics Tennessee. This is a community-wide event and registration is open to everyone. Participants may choose to walk. On-site check in for the 5K opens at 8:30 AM, with the run starting at 9 AM.
- $50 per person entry fee
- All participants will receive a Run the Runway medal
