Music City Corporate Challenge's final night of sand volleyball was hosted by Sandbar last Thursday. This group included Lee Company, Alliance Bernstein, Aegis Science, UBS, and First Horizon. The games were competitive and lively throughout the night as the heat settled for a nice night on the court.
Three teams set themselves apart from the rest of the competition: UBS, Lee Company and Alliance Bernstein. UBS was surging until they ran into the dominant Alliance Bernstein team that ended up defeating them, but their noble fight was not without reward, as they received the bronze medal. Once the bronze medal was given the duel for gold began as Lee Company was set to battle Alliance Bernstein.
This bout was attended by the bronze medal winners UBS and Aegis Science who were watching on as the competitors battled on the sand. The competition for gold raged on as Alliance Bernstein and Lee Company went into a sudden death game. The rules were set as the victors had to win by two. Alliance Bernstein started the sudden death game with a huge spike and set the tone for the rest of the match. The match was close, but Alliance Bernstein came home with the gold as Lee Company team took home silver.
